Training & Skill-Sharing Sundays

We currently run casual training sessions most Sundays, open to anyone who wants to learn or share skills in lion dance, kung fu, and wushu.
These sessions are open to all levels and are a great way to get involved, make friends, and take your first steps into the world of Chinese cultural arts.

Sessions are £5 each (first session free), with all contributions going directly toward room hire and supporting our community-led initiatives.

If you’d like to join a session or learn more, get in touch to book your spot, we’d love to have you with us.

(Please note that training times vary from week to week and spaces are limited so please email thelorislee@gmail.com to confirm and book your spot.)

Joining The Team

We’re creating a community of people who want to share their skills and ideas.
If you’re looking for small freelance or volunteer roles, this could be for you.

  • Performers and Artists:
Lion dancers, martial artists, musicians, artists, and educators, if you have experience in Chinese arts and want to teach, perform or help deliver workshops, we’d love to collaborate with you.

  • Volunteer Opportunities:

Join us as a volunteer assistant for performances and workshops. These occasional roles are a great way to be part of meaningful community initiatives while taking part in fun, hands-on activities. Whether helping behind the scenes or supporting cultural events, it’s a rewarding way to connect, learn, and make an impact.

  • Community Builders and Collaborators:
We’d also love to hear from people from other industries, especially sports, education, wellbeing, and events, who can help us connect with more communities and develop projects with real impact.

What You’ll Be Part Of

Our goal is to build something bigger than performances, we want to create opportunities that:

  • Keep Chinese traditions alive and relevant in today’s world

  • Encourage cross-cultural understanding and inclusivity

  • Support wellbeing and community engagement through art and movement

  • Promote meaningful initiatives, from environmental awareness to mental health projects

Get Involved

If this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, we’d love to hear from you!
Please email thelorislee@gmail.com or fill out our contact form and let us know a bit about yourself, your skills, and how you’d like to get involved.

Let’s build something meaningful - together.

Spread the Word

Not ready to join just yet? You can still help us grow!

Whether it’s sharing a video, tagging a friend, or inviting us to perform, every little bit helps us keep lion dance alive, playful, and open to all. We’re building something bigger than just a team, and the more people who see it, the more accessible this tradition becomes.

Follow us on socials, tell your martial arts mates, or drop us a message if you know of an event that could use a little lion magic.

Contact us.
